The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful One 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He has created man: 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
