The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 has created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
