The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created the human being 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
