The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 Created man, 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
