The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 In shade long-extended, 30 Gushing water, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
