The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 a host of the ancients 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 facing one another. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 The reward for what they did. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 and banana trees, 29 And shade extended 30 near to flowing water 31 and fruits abounding 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 and upraised couches. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 and made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
