The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 And shade extended 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
