The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 facing one another. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 and clustered bananas, 29 and spreading shade 30 And water poured out 31 and abundant fruit, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38
