The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 In shade long-extended, 30 near to flowing water 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
