▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 Then for him is entertainment with boiling water. 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
