▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 and you are watching at that time 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And burning in hell. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
