۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
