Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God, the King, the All-holy, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 1 It is He who has raised among the illiterate (Arabs), a Messenger from themselves, to recite to them His verses, to purify them, and to teach them the Book and the Wisdom, though before that they were in clear error, 2 and to others also, from among them, who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 3 That is God's grace; He bestows it on whom He pleases; for God is limitless in His grace. 4 The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Taurat (Torah) (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practise its legal laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey who carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them). How bad is the example (or the likeness) of people who deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah. And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers, etc.). 5 Say, "O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allah, excluding the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful." 6 But, because of what their hands forwarded they will never long for it. Allah knows the harmdoers. 7 Say: (As for) the death from which you flee, that will surely overtake you, then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of that which you did. 8
