He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death. 15 Do you feel secure that the One in the heavens will not cause you to sink into the earth when it is violently shaking? 16 Or are ye secure that He Who is in the heaven will not send against you a whirlwind? Anon ye shall know what wise hath been My warning. 17 Those who came before them also gave the lie (to the Messengers): then how awesome was My chastisement! 18 Have they, then, never beheld the birds above them, spreading their wings and drawing them in? None but the Most Gracious upholds them: for, verily, He keeps all things in His sight. 19 Do you have any armies who will help you against the Beneficent God? The disbelievers are certainly deceived (by satan). 20 Who shall provide for you if He withholds His sustenance? Nay; but they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 Is he who walks without seeing on his face, more rightly guided, or he who (sees and) walks on a Straight Way (i.e. Islamic Monotheism). 22 (Muhammad), say, "It is God who has brought you into being and made ears, eyes, and hearts for you, but you give very little thanks". 23 Say, “It is He Who has spread you out in the earth, and towards Him you will be raised.” 24 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled, if ye say sooth? 25 Say thou: the knowledge is only with Allah, and I am but a warner manifest. 26 Yet in the end, when they shall see that [fulfilment] close at hand, the faces of those who were bent on denying the truth will be stricken with grief; and they will be told, "This it is that you were [so derisively] calling for!" 27 (Muhammad), say, "Have you not considered that regardless whether God forgives me and my followers or grants us mercy, but who will protect the disbelievers from a painful torment? 28 Proclaim, “He only is the Most Gracious – we have accepted faith in Him and have relied only upon Him; so you will now realise who is in open error.” 29 Say: Have ye thought: If (all) your water were to disappear into the earth, who then could bring you gushing water? 30
