Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Reality? 2 And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is? 3 Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry! 5 and the Ad were destroyed by a furiously raging wind-storm 6 Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! 7 Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them? 8 Then came the Pharaoh, and those before him whose habitations were overthrown while they were committing crimes. 9 They therefore disobeyed the Noble Messengers of their Lord – so He seized them with an intense seizure. 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. 12 Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one), 13 And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- 14 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, 15 And the heaven shall be rent in sunder, it on that Day shall be frail. 16 and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness… 17 On that day all of you will be brought forth, so none among you wishing to hide will be able to hide. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 Verily I was sure that I should be a meeter of my reckoning. 20 Then he will be in blissful state 21 In a high garden 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book 25 "And that I had never realised how my account (stood)! 26 Would it had been the end! 27 Our wealth is of no benefit to us 28 "My power has perished from me!"... 29 (A command will be issued): “Seize him and shackle him, 30 "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. 31 Then, in a chain whereof the length is seventy Cubits, bind him. 32 He did not believe in God the supreme, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 which only the sinners will eat.” 37
