So I swear by whatsoever you see, 38 And what you do not see, 39 it is the speech of a noble Messenger. 40 It is not the word of a poet, little is that you believe! 41 nor the speech of a soothsayer (little do you remember). 42 It is a Revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us, 44 We surely had lain hold of him by the right hand. 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 Then none among you would be his saviour. 47 And verily, this [Qur'an] is a reminder to all the God-conscious! 48 And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. 49 and surely it will be a cause of regret for the unbelievers. 50 And most surely it is the true certainty 51 Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 52
