In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
BEHOLD. We sent Noah unto his people. [Saying:] "Warn thy people ere grievous suffering befall them! 1 [And Noah] said: "O my people! I am but a plain warner to you, [sent to tell you] 2 (Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me, 3 "He (Allah) will forgive you of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Verily, the term of Allah when it comes, cannot be delayed, if you but knew." 4 He said: my Lord! Verily I have called my people night and day. 5 "But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right). 6 And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance. 7 Then I called them openly, 8 "Then verily, I proclaimed to them in public, and I have appealed to them in private, 9 And I said: ask forgiveness of your Lord; verily He is ever Most Forgiving. 10 "'He will send rain to you in abundance; 11 ‘And will aid you with wealth and sons, and will create gardens for you and cause rivers to flow for you.’ 12 What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur 13 He has created you by stages! 14 Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens, one above another, 15 and set the moon therein for a light and the sun for a lamp? 16 how God has produced you from the earth and caused you to grow, 17 and [then] He will bring you forth [from It] in resurrection. 18 God has made the earth for you a spreading, 19 so that you might walk thereon on spacious paths.'" 20

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
