The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Cloaked one, 1 Arise, and warn. 2 Glorify your Lord, 3 thy robes purify 4 And pollution shun. 5 And do not through giving seek thyself to gain, 6 and be patient unto thy Lord. 7 And when the trumpet is blown, 8 that shall be a Harsh Day 9 Far from easy for those without Faith. 10 Leave Me with the one I created alone 11 And then granted him resources in abundance. 12 and sons ever present with him, 13 And made (life) smooth for him. 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 By no means! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Behold, [when Our messages are conveyed to one who is bent on denying the truth,] he reflects and meditates [as to how to disprove them] 18 May he be accursed, how he planned! 19 Again, death seize him, how he determined! 20 He then dared to lift his gaze. 21 frowned and scowled, 22 then turned back, and swelling-up with pride, 23 and says, "All this is mere spellbinding eloquence handed down [from olden times]! 24 "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 Anon shall I roast him into the Scorching Fire. 26 Would that you really knew what hell is! 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 scorching the flesh; 29 and it has nineteen angelic keepers. 30 And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
