The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Rise up and warn! 2 And thy Sustainer's greatness glorify! 3 and purify your clothing, 4 And pollution shun. 5 and do not think that by doing such deeds, you have done a great favor to God. 6 For the sake of thy Lord, be patient! 7 For when the Trump is sounded 8 That shall be - that Day - a day hard. 9 For the unbelievers, anything but easy. 10 LEAVE Me alone [to deal] with him whom I have created alone, 11 And then granted him resources in abundance. 12 and sons standing before him, 13 And for whom I smoothed everything. 14 After all that he desires that I should give more; 15 By no means! Verily he hath been unto Our signs a foe. 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Verily, he thought and plotted; 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- 19 What an evil plan he has made! 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then he frowned and scowled; 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 Then he said: This is naught but enchantment, narrated (from others); 24 Nothing more than the speech of a man!" 25 I will drive him into Saqar. 26 And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is? 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 It scorches the mortal. 29 Over it are Nineteen. 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
