The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! 2 And your Lord do magnify, 3 cleanse your clothes, 4 stay away from sins 5 Do not give, thinking to gain greater 6 But for your Lord be patient. 7 When the trumpet is sounded,. 8 that will surely be a hard day, 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave him to Me, the one whom I created single. 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 And sons abiding in his presence 13 And made several preparations for him. 14 Then he desires that I should add more. 15 By no means! surely he offers opposition to Our communications. 16 I will constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 For he had thought and calculated. 18 May he be accursed, how he planned! 19 May be then be accursed, how he plotted! 20 Then he looked, 21 Then frowned he and scowled. 22 Then he turned back and was haughty; 23 said, "This (the Quran) is nothing but magic, inherited from ancient magicians. 24 This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 I will drive him into Saqar. 26 And what knoweth thou that which the Scorching Fire? 27 It leaves and spares no one and nothing. 28 it scorches (even) the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen [powers]. 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31
