Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 By the receding night 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning for people -- 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
