I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who will be in Paradise 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
