Nay, by the Moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 except those of the right hand 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
