No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 As a warning unto men, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
