Nay! By the moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 it is a warning to man, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
