Nay, by the Moon 32 By the receding night 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About the guilty: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
