Nay! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
