Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
