Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
