Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
