The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
HAS THERE [not] been an endless span of time before man [appeared - a time] when he was not yet a thing to be thought of? 1 Verily, it is We who have created man out of a drop of sperm intermingled, so that We might try him [in his later life]: and therefore We made him a being endowed with hearing and sight. 2 Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful. 3 Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze. 4 Indeed the virtuous will drink from a cup, containing a mixture of Kafoor. 5 a fountain whereat drink the servants of God, making it to gush forth plenteously. 6 [The truly virtuous are] they [who] fulfil their vows, and stand in awe of a Day the woe of which is bound to spread far and wide, 7 and who give food - however great be their own want of it - unto the needy, and the orphan, and the captive, 8 [Saying], "We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude. 9 "We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from the side of our Lord." 10 So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness 11 And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient. 12 Reclining upon couches, they will find therein neither the heat of the sun nor bitter, biting cold, 13 And its shade will cover them, and its fruit clusters brought down low for them. 14 Vessels of silver and goblets of pure crystal will be passed round among them 15 Also there will be crystal clear goblets of silver containing the exact measure of drink which they desire. 16 There are they watered with a cup whereof the mixture is of Zanjabil, 17 From a spring by the name of Ever-flowing-Salsabil. 18 ۞ They will be served by immortal youths who look like scattered pearls. 19 wherever you look, you will see bliss and a great kingdom: 20 Upon them shall be green garments of silk and brocade; they are adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall give them to drink a pure draught. 21 [And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated." 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
