The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
HAS THERE [not] been an endless span of time before man [appeared - a time] when he was not yet a thing to be thought of? 1 Verily, We have created man from Nutfah drops of mixed semen (discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer, seer. 2 Verily We! We shewed him the way; then he becometh either thankful or ingrate. 3 Verily We! We have gotten ready for the infidels chains and collars and a Blaze. 4 Indeed the virtuous will drink from a cup, containing a mixture of Kafoor. 5 A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink; they make it to flow a (goodly) flowing forth. 6 they who keep their vows and fear a Day whose evil is spread; 7 They feed the destitute, orphans, and captives for the love of God, saying, 8 (saying): “We feed you only for Allah's sake; we do not seek of you any recompense or thanks, 9 We are afraid of our Lord and the bitterly distressful day". 10 Wherefore Allah shall preserve them from the evil of that Day, and shall cause them to meet brightness and joy. 11 And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. 12 Reclining therein on raised couches, they shall find therein neither (the severe heat of) the sun nor intense cold. 13 And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility. 14 And there will be circulated among them vessels of silver and cups having been [created] clear [as glass], 15 Glass made from silver, which the servers have filled up to the measure. 16 And they shall be given to drink from a cup whose mixture is ginger, 17 Which is a spring in Paradise called Salsabeel. 18 ۞ Immortal youths will go about them, when you see them, you would suppose them to be scattered pearls. 19 And when thou lookest them thou shalt behold delight and a dominion magnificent. 20 Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and thick silk interwoven with gold, and they shall be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall make them drink a pure drink. 21 (And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted." 22

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
