Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till a limit known? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
