Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
