Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
