Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known extent. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
