Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
