Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
