The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 you pay attention 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
