The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and gently take it away; 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
