The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And by those that press forward as in a race (i.e. the angels or stars or the horses, etc.). 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
