He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and fearfully, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 then eased his path for him, 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Yet man declines to do His bidding. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 And grapes and green fodder 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 with darkness overspread: 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
