۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and who has fear of God, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 and his mother and his father; 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Some faces will shine, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 with darkness overspread: 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
