He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 For him who does not care, 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 noble and purified. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 How We pour water in showers 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 olives, dates, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
