He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 and fearfully, 9 From him you are distracted. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 On honoured leaves 13 exalted, purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
