He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 to him thou attendest 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 Of what did He create him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 How We pour water in showers 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 and dense orchards, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 and covered by darkness. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
