The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
