The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
