The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
