Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
